About us.
I am Pierre, the man behind the creation of Sailacat-Thailand, I am a sailing addict with a long experience of sailing and racing in France and the West Indies.
Living now in Bangkok, I handed over to Chris Jongerius and Rolien the running of my boat. Chris and Rolien, originally from the Netherlands, now based on Phuket, founded the Andaman Sea Club beginning of 2007 with purchasing the Frog, a Firefly catamaran.

Since than they have been working on maximizing their sailing/charter activities with this 'Ferrari of the seas',

In 2008 they expanded their fleet with a more luxurious catamaran, a Summerhaven 10.65, and a second Firefly.
Now with having exclusive charter possibilities for 2 Fireflies they are becoming the centre for promoting Fireflies in Thailand.
The goal is to let the world know that Thailand is superb sailing holiday destination.
In order to actively promote sailing in Thailand, they also have a Seawind 24 catamaran, which they bareboat charter for backpacker prices.
Near Phuket is the famous, World Natural Heritage Site, Phang Nga Bay and the Andaman sea stretching into Malaysia has endless possibilities for cruising and exploring.
We choose catamarans because these boats deliver great adrenaline buzz when speeding and yet are very safe and well suited to tropical countries.
A big trampoline gives plenty of space to work on or rest, its minimum draft of 64 cm gives very close and easy access to beaches. Its 4 berths can be used at sea or at anchor, although I recommend the unique experience of sleeping under the stars from time to time.
